WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?

Our jewelry is handmade in United States and India. We use sterling silver, brass, and copper as a base metal and complete the pieces with a heavy micro-plate of 14K Gold, 14K Rose or Silver with Anti-tarnish finish. All of our products are nickel-free.   

 

WHAT IS MICRO-PLATING?

Micro-plating, or Micron gold plating, is similar to "heavy gold plating" and is a much more qualitative method of plating jewelry. This is in contrast to the commonly used method called "flash" plating, which is the lowest quality of plating and wears off quickly. All of our plated pieces are micro-plated for durability and value.

WILL THE JEWELRY TARNISH?

With proper care your pieces should last a long time. Alongside the 14k gold plating we add a protective eletrophoretic coating, also known as e-coating. It is a clear, protective layer applied via electrical current that acts as a barrier against tarnish, scratches, and sweat. It acts as a shield against everyday wear and prevents the plating from fading. Because the coating is typically transparent, it ensures you get the beautiful rich 14k gold color on your pieces with that high-quality shine.

 For extra shine, we recommend with a plating safe cleaner and cleaning polish. With purchases of $100 or more we offer a complimentary cleaning cloths and jewelry care kits for purchase.

I DON'T SEE MY RING SIZE -- DO YOU OFFER OTHER SIZES?

In store we offer ring sizes 6, 7, 8 and 9; however, we can create a custom ring size for an extra charge of $40. Contact us and let us know which piece you're interested in and what size you'd like. We'd be happy to accommodate this request.  

DO YOU CUSTOMIZE JEWELRY?

Yes, we offer some additional customization starting at $70. The pricing may vary depending on the amount of customization that you are requesting. For all inquiries, please email contact@sophieblake.com. Expect your piece to be shipped within 4-6 weeks of order.
